Betty Bates
With the completion of an M.Ed. in Education Administration, Betty began a lifelong focus on the professional growth and development of educators, and later employees of small businesses. Managing her husband's dental staff and consulting with other dentists, she increased her understanding of how employees work productively together and how a workplace supports or restricts the performance of its employees.
As Director of the Knox County Incubator Without Walls, a program designed to assist entrepreneurs in launching and managing successful small businesses, and later as Project Manager with J.R. Belair and Company, she provided consultation and staff training to a variety of small businesses.
Betty's knowledge of the professional practice and the management of small businesses gives her a foundation for working with both the seller and buyer of the veterinary practice. She understands that the practice is a reflection of the doctor's beliefs and values, and works to match the seller with a buyer who will respect and grow the practice.
